We respect each other's privacy, but since the wife is Japanese, we can assist with questions in Japanese or help with any concerns about living in Canada. Unlike a homestay, you do not need to adjust to a family's schedule, and unlike a shared house, you do not have to share a kitchen or living room with other tenants. It is an environment where you have your own space but can consult in Japanese when needed. We hosted two women from Japan this summer, and it was a wonderful experience.
