Rent is $850/month, including utilities and unlimited internet. The room is available starting September 6, but those looking to move in around October are also welcome. The current tenant, who is from Japan, will move out on September 6 due to a change in her work situation. If you need to move in a few days earlier, you may temporarily stay in the large semi-basement bedroom and then move into the second-floor bedroom once it becomes available. Over the past 10 years, I have hosted many Asian international students, Working Holiday Visa (WHV) holders, and professionals. As someone from an East Asian background myself, I understand the challenges of settling into a new city and always do my best to provide a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place that feels like a second home. The neighbourhood is quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by greenery, with a small park directly across the street. The full bathroom is shared only with the Asian female tenant staying in the other bedroom. The bathroom is located in the hallway outside the bedrooms. The kitchen is shared with the homeowner. For Students and Newcomers If this is your first time living in Toronto, we would be happy to help where we reasonably can with bedding, basic household items, grocery shopping, transportation, and getting settled. Home-style Asian meals can also be provided for an additional fee. We can also help you find Asian groceries and everyday necessities, such as rice and natto. I studied some introductory Japanese at university, but we would mainly communicate in English. If you are not confident in your English, please feel free to use a translation app when necessary.
